How to treat a yeast infection in the belly button?

My friend has a yeast infection in her belly button and no insurance, so no doctor. So, is there any way to treat it and clear it up using over the counter things?
She has been getting them since she was a teen (then she could go see a doctor though). Not overweight and not a hygeine problem either. It’s only ever there too, never goes anywhere else on her.

use the same cream that is used for vaginal yeast. u sure that is the only place she has it? not in her mouth or vagina too? how do you know it is yeast? anyway.. try the cream for vaginal yeast. if that doesn’t work, then go to a clinic that has a sliding scale system of payment.

Clean it out with 3 % hydrogen peroxide.
Fill it up and let it soak a few minutes then wash it out.

Well I would just use the monistat cream that you can buy over the counter and appy it for as many days as the directions tell you. Hopefully that will clear it up. If it doesn’t your friend should go to a doctor whether she has insurance or not because yeast infections can spread.

Gentian Violet is a dye that has anti-fungal properties. An older pharmacy may carry it. It is also sold on the Internet. It may take a month or two using a q-tip and applying twice a day. It does stain purple which will fade away after discontinuing. Be careful because it stains clothing permanently. Hope she gets better soon and having a yeast infection where she has it is very strange. It sounds like a hygiene problem
